Projects & Events

Here are some exciting projects taking shape in the studio.

Watercolor illustration of six different flowers in individual glass vases, arranged in two rows. The flowers include red, purple, pink, yellow, and lavender blooms, with a colorful, DNA-like patterned border around the image. The artist's signature, Marti Lay, is at the bottom right.

Award-Winning Artist.

Excited to announce this flower painting won 2nd Place in the 2023 visual art contest with Bridging the Gap in Clinical Trials Annual Art Competition. This acrylic on paper has a variety of flowers in test tubes and a rainbow-colored DNA strand to represent the beauty of diversity and the need for diversity in clinical trials for the future of medicine.

My whimsical flower pieces began as warm-up exercises to loosen my watercolor painting. They’ve become popular on cards and as paintings. Find some in my shop to brighten your home or to share as gifts.
